Each fasting day is supervised with safety protocols, health reviews and practical education so you understand what is happening in your body.
We cap each retreat to preserve personal attention, peer support and the integrity of our preventive approach.
Most guests do not come because something is terribly wrong. They come because something no longer feels right.

Fasting is, without any doubt, the most effective biological method of treatment. It is the operation without surgery.” Otto Buchinger
What people commonly notice after a fasting retreat
From steadier energy and fewer cravings to better digestion and metabolic balance, these are some of the shifts guests commonly notice after a structured Buchinger fast.
Often associated with fewer energy crashes and more stable hunger patterns throughout the day.
Observed in structured fasting settings with improved glucoregulation and insulin sensitivity.
Often linked to improved cardiovascular balance and lower physical tension.
Structured fasting has been associated with healthier blood pressure regulation in many participants.
Many guests notice reduced snacking habits and a calmer relationship with food.
Often observed after the body adapts to more stable blood sugar and reduced stimulus eating.
Frequently linked to less bloating, less digestive heaviness, and a calmer gut feeling.
Often observed when the digestive system is given more time to rest and recover.
Can help the body transition into a more flexible and efficient energy state.
Structured fasting is commonly associated with improved metabolic flexibility and fat utilization.
Structured fasting creates space for the body to shift out of constant input and into a more balanced rhythm.
Every retreat is preventive in nature: structured rest, careful supervision and practical education. These five principles ensure each guest is supported with the same integrity, whether joining for maintenance, learning or early intervention.
We teach fasting, nutrition, movement and sleep practices so you leave more confident and less dependent on us.
Groups remain intimate—up to 14 guests—so conversations stay honest and peer support feels natural.
Plenty of rest and a predictable rhythm let your body adapt, recover and sleep more soundly.
Gentle walks, stretching and time outdoors keep muscles active and reconnect you to the landscape.
We act from integrity, screening carefully and focusing on prevention over trends or quick fixes.
Maximum 14 guests per retreat. Early reservation is strongly recommended.
All Vietnam Detox retreats share the same Buchinger foundation, thoughtful guidance and a carefully held daily rhythm. What changes is the atmosphere, the setting and the kind of experience each retreat invites you into.
A mountain retreat for guests seeking peace, structure and inner clarity.
A calm and accessible retreat atmosphere for guests who want softness, beauty and reassurance.
A river based retreat shaped by Vietnamese herbal rituals, deep comfort and refined restoration.

“I was extremely satisfied with the teachings our fasting coach Dieter provided, and I learned a lot of new things, such as sketching Mandala paintings and designing my own vision board to represent the future and what I wanted to achieve. A fantastic detox program.”
“The retreat provides very clear and scientific content that explains the scientifically based fasting methodology in great detail. Despite the numerous physical activities, including yoga, meditation, and nature immersions, I did not feel hungry at all. Particularly appealing is the mix of detox and mindfulness.”
“I am overjoyed to have been part of this detox retreat; it has given me fantastic health and a lovely experience. I appreciate how much the organisers care about the group and each individual. The exercises in the program inspired me; they provided a fresh breath to my soul. Everyone is wonderful…”

More about HoànFrom your first conversation with us to the follow-up two weeks after you leave, every step is considered.
You choose the retreat and room that suit you best. Once your place is secured, we guide you through the next steps with clarity and ease.
You complete a short health questionnaire before arrival. You then have a preparation call with Dieter or Hoan to review your goals, health background and the support you may need.
Five days of fasting, movement, learning and rest. Each day offers structure, guidance and enough space to slow down, reflect and feel supported.
You leave with clear refeeding guidance, practical tools and a follow up touchpoint two weeks later, so the retreat can support you beyond your stay.
Each stage of the retreat has a purpose. Here is what is happening inside you.
You eat lighter and set a clear intention. No meat, fried food, sugar or alcohol. Your digestion begins to slow and your mind begins to shift gears.
Baseline health checks. A first spa treatment. A simple plant-based dinner, the last solid meal before your fast. This day is about landing, slowing down and meeting the people you will walk with.
After gentle movement and orientation, Glauber salt clears the bowel. Juices, broth, spa and a sharing circle create the first fasting rhythm. Most guests are surprised by how well they feel.
With roughly a day of no calories, the body may begin increasing autophagy. Damaged components are recycled. Many guests describe a growing sense of lightness and ease.
The body transitions from glucose toward fat and ketones as its main fuel. Movement during this phase signals the body to maintain muscle. Energy often stabilises noticeably.
Ketosis deepens. Senses feel sharper. Many guests describe a quiet mental clarity they have not felt in years and a changed relationship with hunger itself.
The first food after the fast is a simple apple, eaten very slowly and with full attention. This moment marks the beginning of the rebuilding phase and feels quietly profound.
Three days of simple, clean foods reintroduce the digestive system gently. This is where many long-term benefits take root and where new habits find their footing.
A genuine fast cleanses the body, mind, and soul.” Mahatma Gandhi
Two traditions, one complete experience. The precision of German fasting methodology meets the depth of Vietnamese healing culture.
Rooted in the fasting tradition developed in Germany, our programme follows a clear and well established approach to fasting, education and guided support.
Herbal teas, mindful movement, meditation, warm broths and local rituals help guests slow down, reconnect and restore balance.
You are accompanied throughout the retreat with daily guidance, educational sessions and space for reflection.
Together, these elements create a retreat experience that feels structured, supportive and deeply human.
